fire on water~
This is Joel's Witchcraft blog. Random witch mind vomit and stuff. I do free tarot readings every Tuesday, tagged djinntarottuesday.

Read my about me for more information about readings and just me in general.

You can call me Lumos, Djinn, or Joel. I answer to all three. :)

Tar’s Amortentia Love Potion - It’s different for everyone, imbibe/share with caution!

Who knew so much shit went into this I swear.

Blah de blah oh well. KITCHEN WITCHCRAFT. Supplies you’ll need:
2 Quart sauce pan/pot.
Herbs associated with love: vanilla, cinnamon, lavender, rose, rose hips, chamomile, etc. etc.etc. those are the ones I have on hand so those are the ones I’m ‘using’ for this post.
Honey!
Fruits! Strawberries, cherries, apricots, peaches. Succulent, juicy, fertility spell fruits.
Water.
A dash of salt.
And if you’re over 21, after it cools a splash of vodka. ;)

Anyway get your pan ready and waiting. Warm your water, and begin with your herbs. Now since Amortentia is different for everyone, what I put and what you put, in terms of amount of herb should and will be different.
With a spoon (wooden or otherwise I really don’t care I use what I have), begin stirring your ~cauldron~ and pretend that Snape isn’t glaring at you from the dark corners of your kitchen unless you want that then by all means go ahead, and start stirring in your herbs. It helps to have them in little bowls or at hand for this, since we’re doing them a bit at a time.
As you add them think about what you’re wanting/expecting from love and romance. So, I’d add a dash of lavender and think about how I want sweet comfort. Stir. Add a bit of cinnamon for spice and passion, stir. In between each herb, stir, and visualise what you’re adding to this potion/relationship with each stir.
After you’ve happily added all the herbs you want, begin throwing in your fruits. The fruits signify what you want from the other person. This can be physical looks, characteristics or quirks you find attractive, etc. Continue with the add, stir, add, stir technique.

When your done, stir five times one direction and then-
Now for the salt. Because even though we’re doing witchcraft for love you have to admit that not all in love is roses and lavender and skipping in clouds of whipped cream. Don’t worry a little bit of salt won’t ruin the flavour.
After each fifth stir, add a small, itty bitty, literally only a few grains of salt to the potion and stir the opposite direction. You can think about what you’re taking away from the relationship. A grain of salt over an argument you might have with the prospected person. Etc. Etc. Salt is the tears you will shed, and you accept.
BUT THEN OUR SAVIOUR- HONEY. Honey, to me personally, is a comforting balm…it’s weird but nothing comforts me or makes me happy like a little bit of honey. Add your honey as the sweetness of the apology, the making up, the glue that holds your relationship together PAST the salt in the wounds and the tears.
Safely strain the liquid into sealable container. After it cools this is when you can add the vodka. Liquid courage.
Drink imbibe distribute to your little sweet hearts content. :D
